Military Facilities

Designing and installing cooling, heating and plumbing systems for military facilities can challenge a contractor because the buildings and equipment are generally older, and the design and budget must comply with strict government regulations.

In these older systems, steam is typically the heat source. RJ Mechanical pipe fitters either extend the existing steam system or convert it to a hydronic heating system. Cooling systems are usually a new install, and like plumbing systems, need to be customized to function properly in the existing facility.

Over the years, the RJ Mechanical team has had many opportunities to work at military facilities throughout Minnesota. Our projects have included vehicle maintenance buildings, tank and large equipment facilities and office buildings.
